This marks the fifth annual event celebrating veterans' service and providing them with opportunities for renewed independence.
Among the recipients are:
- Cory Mussenden, an Army veteran and father of five from Baltimore County, whose new vehicle will allow his family to travel safely and spend more time together.
- Sylvester Palmer, an Army veteran and caseworker from Anne Arundel County, whose new vehicle will reduce his daily commute from six hours to just 20 minutes, allowing him more time with family and community.
- Eugene Anthony, an Army veteran from Cecil County, and father of four who will gain independence and stability after years of relying on public transit.
- Daniel Ray Whiteaker, a Marine Corps veteran from Cecil County, and father of two whose new vehicle enables him to pursue job opportunities and reconnect regularly with his daughters in Virginia.
- Byron Branch, a Navy veteran from Baltimore City, is receiving the chance to secure stable employment and rebuild vital family connections across state lines.
- Xavier Travers, a Navy veteran from Cecil County who sees this vehicle as the final step toward rebuilding his life after overcoming homelessness and securing stable housing. This car will allow him to visit his family more often.
The partnership also supports VFC’s Full Circle Auto Training Program, which offers reentry and workforce development opportunities for justice-involved and underemployed individuals.
